SendI am a visual artist based in Warsaw, Poland. My main field of creative output is painting. I also do commertial and non-commertial photography. I have experience in teaching painting/drawing and photography on any given level. While photo camera has become for me a scetch book of sorts, I am also keen on drawing practice in hope to take my skills to such level where my drawing/painting gestures can be free, spontenous and good. I venture into illustration, comic strips, poster design, to get fresh new aproaches to painting. My main painterly medium has been acrylic paint. I sometimes mix it with different media. My aproaches to painting are somewhat diverse, I try diferent things and even my palet goes from colorful to monochrome (like using only gesso on raw canvas). I sometimes use stensils, paint on primed of uprimed canvas. My goal, however, is to paint truthfully, in a sense. The colors that I use, the shape of brushstrokes, are suppose to fit a particular mood of me, and or the scene which I want to portray. I often symplify the painted reality, getting rid of the details that I find insignificant. Our memory does not hold all the details in photo fashion. I am fascinated with the provincial, the everyday. The memories I (we) are most fond of often don’t consist of anything particularly extraordinary to others. As children we used to see extraordinary in the ordinary. Perpahs artists retain this amazement with life in later years of their lifes. In 2006 I co-founded the Provincial Artists Group and wrote a mainfesto entitled” „In memory of this which hasn’t passed yet”. This sentece reflects the way in which I want to paint.
